Setup & Breakdown
Tables, chairs, tents, signage, staging, and décor. We set everything up on time and break it down clean so the venue looks better than we found it. No mess left behind.
Transportation & Equipment
We move what needs to be moved. Equipment, supplies, donations, and materials, across Newark and throughout Essex County. Safely loaded, securely transported, placed exactly where you need it.

Our Story
We didn’t start CILA because it seemed like a good business opportunity.
Built in Newark.
By people who call it home.
CILA was founded by Charles Brunson and Charles Lammy, two people from Newark who kept seeing the same problem play out over and over: community organizations doing important, life-changing work, but struggling to pull off the logistics. Understaffed. Underfunded. Overwhelmed. Great missions, but running on empty. Programs that deserved to run smoothly, run ragged instead. We built CILA to fix that. Not as outsiders with a solution to sell, but as people who know this city, believe in this work, and understood exactly what was missing.
We are Black owned, Newark rooted, and proud of it. Clinton Hill, Upper and Lower, is home. The organizations we serve aren’t abstractions to us. They are our neighbors, our families, our community. When we show up to your event, we are showing up as people who actually care about what you are building. That changes how we work. It means we stay late when things run long. It means we treat every venue with respect. It means we take the mission seriously, not just the task list. We built this company on the belief that Black owned businesses can and should set the standard for professionalism and excellence in the spaces that matter most.
Newark has always been a city that figures it out. That spirit is in everything we do at CILA. We are not here to be a vendor you manage.
